Camping at Craighead

The Arkansas Super-Prestige cyclocross points series, presented by The Dillon Group Custom Homes, opens on October 13 at Craighead Forest Park in Jonesboro.

Craighead is a beautiful park with camping 365 days a year.  Being a university town, there is also a range of lodging options in Jonesboro.  Plan ahead and be smart.

BACA general meeting on October 3rd

From Judy Lansky, President of Bicycle Advocacy of Central Arkansas (BACA):

The next BACA general meeting is October 3rd, 6:30 p.m. at the Oyster Bar, 3003 W. Markham. Come hear the latest news of interest to bicyclists in Central Arkansas including updates from Little Rock, North Little Rock, Close the Dillard's Loop Campaign, and Broadway Bridge construction. We will have an exciting and informative program on Complete/Open Streets about accommodating bicyclists on all streets.  

AND we need your help. We have lots of opportunities for you to help promote bicycling in Central Arkansas including a number of events where we need your help to staff booths and information tables. If you are available to help staff the BACA table at the Big Dam Bridge 100 Expo on September 26 and 27th, and/or the safety and information table at the Little Rock Mayor's Car Free Challenge on October 6, please let us know at http ://www . bicycleadvocacy . com/contact . html or on our Facebook page. Micro Cross 2013

Micro Cross starts tonight at Walker Park in Fayetteville.  Here's what Pip from Highroller Cyclery has to say:

Micro Cross is here! Walker park this Thursday starting at 6:30 till dusk. After this week we will be starting at 6:00 on Thursday evenings as long as weather and daylight allow. Come brush up on your skills for the upcoming Cross season or just come see what Cyclocross is all about.
